Scion has announced the winners of the 2013 Scion Tuner Challenge.
Following a thorough review of all the entries, Scion has selected Josh Croll, Walter Franco and Young Tea as the winners. As a result, their proposals will be turned into one-off concepts which will be built by custom car builders who will have a budget of $15,000 (€11,435).
Scion didn't have much to say about the cars themselves but all will be based on the 2014 tC and feature a unique body kit and special alloy wheels. After the cars debut at SEMA, judges will evaluate them and award the creator of the best model with a $10,000 grand prize.
According to Scion Corporate Manager Dave Harbuck, "Scion’s events at the SEMA Show continue to showcase the creativity of car builders around customization and the personality they bring to their cars. We’re looking forward to seeing what this year’s finalists create.”
