Porsche and Michelin have teamed up to develop a new set of tires for the Carrera GT supercar.

Although nowadays the Porsche hype revolves mostly around the 918 Spyder, many of us still haven't forgotten the company's former supercar, the Carrera GT. If you are one of the fortunate 1,270 owners, Porsche and Michelin are now offering a new type of Pilot Super Sport tires developed specifically for the car.

According to Porsche, the 265/35 ZR19 front and 335/30 ZR 20 rear PSS tires with the "N0" rating will improve Carrera GT's stability and handling. In addition, fuel consumption is reduced by 10 percent when driving on regular roads and up to 20 percent when on racetracks. They also do a good job at improving braking performances for the former Porsche flagship model.

Additional details are provided in the attached press release.
