In an interview given to Car and Driver, Lamborghini's CEO Stephan Winkelmann confirmed the Veneno Roadster will happen.
Rumors about a roadster Veneno emerged towards the end of last month but nothing materialized, until now. Speaking to Car and Driver, Winkelmann said the car will see the light of day but chances are it will never be officially shown to the public.
While the fixed roof version was limited to three units, Lamborghini plans to make nine roadsters of the ultra-exclusive Veneno. It will be ten percent more expensive meaning it will carry an extremely steep starting price of 3.3M EUR (around 4.4M USD or 2.81M GBP).
Aside from the roof, the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster will be identical to the coupe so essentially a beefed-up Aventador with 750 HP (552 kW).
