Caught undergoing testing in Europe, the prototypes reveal the cars will have an aggressive front fascia, revised side skirts and aerodynamic mirrors. We can also see a carbon fiber roof (on the coupe), high performance brakes and what appears to be bulging rear fenders.

Power will likely be provided by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that develops approximately 450 bhp (335 kW) and 550 Nm (405 lb-ft) of torque. This could enable the cars to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in a little as 4.2 seconds, before reaching an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).

BMW could introduce an M3 or M4 concept at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance this weekend, but nothing is official as of yet. Regardless of what happens, BMW M Performance Automobiles managing director Friedrich Nitschke has previously said the M3 and M4 Coupe will likely debut at the North American International Auto Show early next year.
