Ford is ceasing production in Australia, but CEO Alan Mulally has revealed the company's "commitment to service customers here remains strong and absolutely resolute."
Speaking at a Go Further event, Mulally said Ford will refresh the entire Australian lineup with 11 global vehicles by 2017. The company declined to go into specifics but confirmed several models will be introduced including the Mondeo, Mustang, Fiesta ST, EcoSport and Transit.
The company also unveiled the Everest concept which was designed in Australia and previews a production model that will be sold globally. Ford didn't have much to say about the model but confirmed it will "set a new benchmark among SUVs" and deliver exceptional "off-road capability and toughness."
Ford also teased the 2014 Falcon which has an aggressive front fascia and LED-infused headlights.
