Sport Auto's Christian Gebhardt sent us a new clip with the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse and the 2013 Super Trofeo he had the opportunity of testing.
First up, the Squadra Corse represents the latest (but probably not last) special edition Gallardo featuring a V10 with 570 HP (419 kW) mated to a 6-speed e-gear. Christian tested the car and managed to run the 0 - 62 mph (0 - 100 km/h) sprint in 3.4 seconds, exactly the same number released by Lamborghini.
During testing the car needed 10.2 seconds (0.2s less than Lamborghini’s official number) from 0 to 124 mph (200 km/h), 17s for the 0 - 155 mph (250 km/h) run and 34s from a standstill to 186 mph (300 km/h). Lamborghini says the Squadra Corse can hit a top speed of 199 mph (320 km/h).
Christian also got behind the wheel of the 2013 Super Trofeo from which the Squadra Corse is derived. The track-only beast was revised for this year with a new spoiler, rear diffuser and wheel arches. The vehicle is part of Lamborghini's customer racing program and in this video can be seen tackling the Hockenheim circuit.
