Mercedes has introduced the GLK 350 4MATIC Schwarz Edition in Japan.
Named after the German word for black, the Schwarz Edition has an Obsidian Black exterior with 20-inch alloy wheels. The model is also equipped with stainless steel running boards, a sport-tuned suspension and an AMG styling package.
Interior changes are limited but include Artico / Dinamica seats, a sport steering wheel, black ash wood trim and alloy pedals. The model also has heated front seats, special floor mats and a number of safety systems including active park assist, active lane keeping assist and active blind spot assist.
The Schwarz Edition is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 306 HP (225 kW) and 370 Nm (272 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed automatic transmission and a 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.
Production will be limited to 100 units and pricing starts at ¥6,840,000 ($69,540 / €52,325).
