Subaru has started teasing the high-performance STI version of the BRZ which will probably be revealed in November at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Two years ago at the same venue we saw a concept previewing the BRZ STI and now Subaru has started to tease the production model. Like you would expect from a teaser, the manufacturer didn't disclose any information about the car but it's pretty much a safe bet it will come with a more aggressive body kit with new aerodynamic parts, four-piston STI brakes, large rear wing, modified side skirts, front lip spoiler, revised front grille and 18-inch alloys.

More importantly, a report that emerged last November indicated the Subaru BRZ STI will not receive the turbocharging treatment because of engine bay space limitations since apparently there isn't enough room to install an intercooler. On the flip side, thanks to a bump in rev limit beyond 7,500 rpm and variable control system tweaks, output of the engine is expected to reach 232 HP (171 kW), making it 32 HP (23 kW) more powerful than the standard model.
