Troubled British automaker Lotus will be going through a three-year restructuring program according to owner DRB-Hicom.

Details are limited at this moment but it seems DRB-Hicom has already invested more than 100M GBP to keep Lotus alive. They are now convinced the company is worth fighting for since in the last period sales have increased. Lotus' owner says new Evora and Elise variations are on the way, following the recent Exige S Roadster launch.

In addition, Lotus' new owner says the ambitious plan created when Dany Bahar was CEO has been officially terminated. It was an exciting program which included reboots of the Esprit, Elan, Elite and a four-door coupe called Eterne. There are some chances of seeing the Esprit in production form because when DRB took over the car was almost done so it could be brought back to life with minimal investments.
