Former Formula One World Champion Jenson Button has driven the McLaren P1 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Jenson completed the course in approximately 53 seconds and remarked the car has "got quite a lot of power" but "doesn't like this bumpy road very much." He added, the P1 has an amazing amount of grip and the whole experience was "good fun."

As we have previously reported, the McLaren P1 has a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine and an electronic motor that develop a combined maximum output of 916 HP (674 kW) and 663 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. This enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than three seconds and hit an electronically-limited top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph).
