The Goodwood Festival of Speed is underway and the Mercedes A45 AMG and SLS AMG Black Series have made their dynamic debuts at the annual event.
The cars were joined by a handful of other models including the new S-Class and the entire AMG lineup. Mercedes also showcased a handful of historic vehicles like the 1910 Benz 21/80 ‘Prinz Heinrich' and 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe.
As we have previously reported, SLS AMG Black Series has a 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 622 bhp (464 kW) and 468 lb-ft (634 Nm) of torque. It enables the car to run from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 196 mph (315 km/h).
The A45 AMG, on the other hand, has a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 360 HP (265 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque. It allows the hatchback to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and hit an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
