The 2014 Mercedes Viano has been caught by our spy photographers yet again.

Despite being heavily camouflaged, the photos reveal the model will have a modern design that clearly echoes Mercedes new styling philosophy. As a result, the front bumper has some gentle curves and a prominent grille that is flanked by large headlights. The Viano also has an upward sweeping beltline and a taller hood to comply with stricter pedestrian safety laws.

Engine options remain unconfirmed but will likely include a variety of four- and six-cylinder units. Earlier rumors had suggested the possibility of a plug-in hybrid or electric variant but Mercedes van boss Volker Mornhinweg recently confirmed those plans are in “hibernation mode" due to the lack of demand.
