Several new videos with the 2014 Mazda3 hatchback have popped up online and we thought they deserve a share on WCF.
Mazda's KODO design language strikes again with the all-new "3" hatchback which is certainly one of the best looking models in its class. Taking styling cues from the CX-5 and the new Mazda6, the appealing hatch is 175.6 inches long, 70.7 inches wide and 57.3 inches tall while the wheelbase has grown by 2.4 inches to 106.3.
The interior is a significant improvement over the previous generation, sporting higher-end materials and a better layout. It also packs more comfortable seats, piano black accents, new instrument cluster, satin chrome trim and a new infotainment system with support for USB, AUX and Bluetooth as well as Internet via smartphone.
Powering the U.S.-spec Mazda3 will be a SKYACTIV-G 2.0-liter engine delivering 155 bhp (115 kW) and 150 lb-ft (203 Nm), along with a more powerful SKYACTIV-G 2.5-liter which churns 184 bhp (137 kW) and 185 lb-ft (250 Nm). These can be mated to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox, with both of them benefiting from Mazda's SKYACTIV technologies for better fuel efficiency.
