Ford has taken the wraps off the 2014 F-150 Tremor.
Based on the short-wheelbase regular-cab model, the Tremor is described as a "sport truck that addresses the needs of street truck enthusiasts looking for high-performance V8 power with V6 fuel economy." As a result, it has been equipped with HID headlights and an FX Appearance Package that includes body side graphics and 20-inch flat-black alloy wheels.
The Tremor also has a unique cabin with black leather / Alcantara seats, a center console, brushed-metal accents and the MyFord Touch infotainment system.
Motivation is provided by a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that produces 365 bhp (272 kW) and 420 lb-ft (568 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission that sends power to a "launch-optimized" rear axle with 4.10 gearing and an electronic locking differential. Rear-wheel drive is standard, while four-wheel drive is optional.
The F-150 Tremor will go on sale this fall and pricing will be announced closer to launch.
