If you've always fantasized about becoming a racing driver and have $17,500 (€13,345 / £11,380) to spare, Lamborghini wants to hear from you.

The company has just announced the princely sum will cover a person's "shared seat" weekend race fees for the North American Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Series which kicks off on July 5th at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut.

In exchange for forking over the dough, customers will get to race a Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo race car which features all-wheel drive and a 5.2-liter V10 engine that develops 570 hp (425 kW). The costs also include a "full service package, car transportation, Pirelli tire package, driver race suits and Lamborghini's unparalleled trackside hospitality."

Since Lamborghini doesn't want you wrecking one of their pricey toys, participants will be given 120 minutes of practice before the 40 minute qualifying session and the two 50 minute races.
