Lamborghini must have its own understanding of the word "final" since the Gallardo is back again with a special edition.

Lately the word "Gallardo" is associated with "limited/special edition", even though in December 2012 the Italian supercar maker said the 2013 LP560-4 is the final model. There's a new special edition part of the firm's 50th anniversary celebrations and it's called LP 550-2 India Limited Edition.

Only six units will be made and all of them will be sold exclusively in India. These will be available in three color options: Arancio Borealis (Pearl Orange), Bianco Monocerus (White) and Verde Ithaca (Pearl Green) which together represent the Indian national flag. Running the length of the car is a tri-color stripe that we've seen on recent special Gallardo editions.

The interior adopts a predominantly black theme with green stitching on the driver's seat. Orange stitching can be seen on the passenger seat while white stitching adorns the center console, dashboard and doors.

Power comes from the familiar V10 5.2-liter engine with 560 HP (412 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed e-gear. It can run the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 3.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of 199 mph (320 km/h).
