The 875 kg (1,929 lbs) racer is powered by a twin-turbo V6 3.2-liter mill rated at 875 bhp (652 kW) linked to a six-speed sequential gearbox sending power to all four wheels. As a result of this configuration, the car can sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 1.8 seconds and needs only 4.8 seconds from 0 to 124 mph (200 km/h). It takes 7 seconds until the speedometer reaches 149 mph (240 km/h).

The Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak will be wearing a Red Bull livery on June 30 when Sébastien Loeb will get behind the wheel in the Unlimited Class where he'll have to tackle the demanding 12.4 mile (20 km) course which has no less than 156 turns and a 4921 foot (1500 meter) elevation.
