Cadillac has announced the 2014 CTS will be priced from $46,025 - including a $925 destination charge - when it goes on sale in the United States this fall.
Costly roughly $6,000 more than its predecessor, the redesigned sports sedan is larger, lighter and more luxurious. It also boasts an impressive array of standard equipment including a CUE infotainment system and an 11-speaker Bose audio system. The car also comes equipped with Brembo brakes, Magnetic Ride Control and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Under the hood, three different engines are available including:
- A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 272 bhp (203 kW) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque
- A naturally-aspirated 3.6-liter V6 with 321 bhp (239 kW) and 275 lb-ft (373 Nm) of torque
- A turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 with 420 bhp (313 kW) and 430 lb-ft (583 Nm) of torque
The latter model, the CTS Vsport, costs $59,995 - including a $925 destination charge - which is only $5,415 less expensive than the 2013 CTS-V.
