MG has released new details about the Euro-spec MG3, following its British debut at the company's European Design Center in Birmingham.
Described as a "distinctive statement of modern British style," the MG3 features sporty styling that will attempt to appeal to the youth market. As a result, the model is highly customizable as it can be ordered in ten different colors which can be augmented by at least ten graphic packages.
All models will be equipped with a black mesh grille and LED daytime running lights, but certain variants will feature 16-inch alloy wheels and an aggressive body kit that includes revised bumpers, extended side skirts and chromed exhaust tips.
Interior pictures were not released, but MG says the model can be equipped with air conditioning, leather upholstery and a six-speaker audio system with Bluetooth/USB/AUX connectivity.
Power will be provided by a four-cylinder VTi-TECH petrol engine that develops 105 HP (77 kW). It will be connected to a five-speed manual transmission that promises to be perfectly suited for "nipping in and out of city traffic or enjoying a great British B road."
The Euro-spec MG3 will go into production in a "few months" and dealer demonstrators are scheduled to be in showrooms by September.
