The Cadillac SRX is set for a major update by 2011. The new SRX will share the platform and architecture with its GM sibling - the Saab 9-4 Crossover scheduled for 2009, and will feature traditional Cadillac design elements, such as a center line crease and front and tail lights in vertical design. According to Motor Trend sources, the new SRX will feature "sewn, soft-touch surfaces for the entire dash and door molding" and a wider range of interior color schemes. The interior and the dashboard will also be redesigned to accomodate a navigation screen on the dash and an LCD information screen on the dials. There is some uncertainty as to whether the SRX will be replaced by a five-seat crossover for the European market to take on competing crossovers.
