Mercedes-Benz has announced a limited-run Edition 1 variant of the 2014 S-Class which will be available during the first twelve months of production.

It follows the footsteps of other Edition 1 models like the CLA and A45 AMG, packing additional equipment. It can be ordered in exclusive blue anthracite or bright diamond white metallic colors, while intelligent LED headlights will be offered as standard. There's also a large panoramic sunroof and "Edition 1" badges on the fender.

The interior cabin boasts Nappa-wrapped seats with contrast stitching and roof lining, along with leather-covered sun visors. A microfiber dubbed DINAMICA will be used to wrap the center armrest, top of the instrument panel and front/rear door panels. Other changes include "Mercedes-Benz" illuminated logos on the sill plates, Nappa grab handles with contrasting stitching and an interior theme choice of deep blue sea or satin beige.

As standard, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Edition 1 comes with ambient lightning, parking, driving assistance and air balance packages – all of which are optional on the regular model.

Already available on order, the Edition 1 costs an extra 19,706 EUR (VAT included) in Germany.
