"Eleanor" from "Gone in 60 Seconds" was sold last weekend at an auction for 1M USD.

Last month we talked about a 1967 Ford Mustang GT500 "Eleanor" heading to the Dana Mecum 26th Original Spring Classic Auction in Indianapolis. Driven by Nicolas Cage in 2000's blockbuster movie, the car was built by Cinema Vehicle Services with assistance from coachbuilder Chip Foose.

Under the bonnet it has a Ford V8 5.7-liter engine generating 400 bhp (298 kW). Other highlights of the car include a four-speed manual gearbox, 17-inch wheels wrapped around in Goodyear tires, a lowered suspension, centrally-mounted driving lights and a faux nitrous kit.

It was sold together with a certificate of authenticity plus a special plaque with the VIN included. For the moment there aren't any details about the new owner.
