Chinese media reports Volkswagen has decided to produce the CrossBlue and CrossBlue Coupe in China.
Both models will be made by the Shanghai-Volkswagen joint venture and production is expected to kick off in 2015 at a brand new factory located in Changsha in Hunan Province where they'll make 300,000 units each year. Both of them will represent an SUV based on the MQB platform, with the CrossBlue being a seven-seater and the CrossBlue Coupe a five-seat model.
At the same plant VW will make a new sedan codenamed VW511 which will be slotted between the Passat and Phaeton. Also in 2015 they will launch a more luxurious model aimed mostly for the local market.
