Pratt and Miller have announced plans to auction off a rare Corvette C6RS on eBay.
Originally created for Jay Leno, the C6RS was built at the request of General Motors who wanted a street legal version of their C6R racecar. A total of seven C6RS's were made by Pratt and Miller and this particular model was built over the course of a year at a cost in excess of $330,000.
Given its racing pedigree, the C6RS features a carbon fiber body, a track-oriented suspension and a ram air induction system with a K&N filter. The car has also been equipped with Brembo brakes, a Corsa cat-back exhaust system and 18- / 19-inch BBS wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
Power is provided by a Katech 8.2-liter V8 engine that develops more than 600 bhp (447 kW) and 600 lb-ft (813 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a T-56 six-speed manual transmission that features a Centerforce dual friction clutch with an aluminum flywheel.
Despite its racecar origins, the C6RS has been equipped with a custom interior by Caravaggio. It features premium leather upholstery, yellow contrast stitching and sport seats with carbon fiber shells. The Corvette also has a Panasonic infotainment system and an integrated radar detector that eliminates radar signals to make the car "disappear."
The auction ends on May 19th and as of right now bidding has exceeded $101,110.
