Those leaked patent photos we showed about a week ago were actually depicting the C-X16 Concept.

When the images surfaced the Internet it was believed they represented the F-Type Coupe, but a Jaguar spokesperson told Autocar those pics are from August 2011 when Jaguar originally filed for patent.

Nevertheless, we strongly believe a coupe version will be launched by Jaguar soon and its design probably won't stray away too much from the C-X16 judging by the similarities of the concept with the F-Type Convertible.

It is believed the coupe will go on sale sometime in 2014 and is likely to retain the same engine lineup as the convertible. In other words, expect a supercharged V6 3.0-liter with 340 HP (250 kW) and 380 HP (279 kW), plus a larger supercharged V8 5.0-liter producing 495 HP (364 kW).
