Volkswagen has released several sketches along with full details about the Design Vision GTI Concept which will be showcased this month at 2013 Wörthersee.
Power comes from an all-new twin-turbo V6 3.0-liter engine producing 503 HP (370 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque. The entire power is transferred to all four wheels through a dual-clutch DSG transmission which helps the concept sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h).
Measuring 4253mm, the Design Vision GTI is 15mm shorter than the production Golf GTI, while width has increased from 1799mm to 1870mm. Height has dropped from the series 1442mm to 1385mm, while the front and rear tracks have grown from 1538mm to 1595mm (front) and from 1516mm to 1579mm (rear).
The Volkswagen Design Vision GTI Concept rides on 20-inch alloys with 235/35 front and 275/30 rear tires and comes with a significantly more aggressive body kit, as well as several modifications inside the cabin.
