A McLaren dealership is selling a 2012 MP4-12C wearing a vinyl wrap, just like the company's prototypes.

Here is something that probably you haven't seen before, a production model sold with a vinyl wrap which makes the car look like a pre-production / prototype. It's available at Miller Motorcars in Greenwich, Connecticut and costs 259,035 USD.

The MP4-12C is wearing the exact same camo pattern McLaren is using whenever testing upcoming models, just like they did numerous times for the P1. The car in question is a pre-owned model and goes by the name of Greenwich Special Edition. The wrap was applied by a team of experts who needed three days to get the job done.

This vinyl skin is the work of McLaren and its black & white design is meant to distort body details and aerodynamic lines, according Evan Cygler who is marketing director at the dealership. The person who will buy the car can ask Miller Motorcars to remove the vinyl wrap to reveal the car's original gray paint scheme.
