Chevrolet has unveiled the range-topping High Country version of the new Silverado.

Scheduled to go on sale this fall, the 2014 Silverado High Country is distinguished thanks to body-colored front/rear bumpers, bespoke chrome grille with horizontal chrome bars, chrome body side mouldings, mirrors and door handles, along with different 20-inch chrome alloys shod in 275/55 R20 all-terrain season tires.

Inside it has received saddle brown upholstery, front/rear park assist, Chevrolet MyLink with 8-inch touchscreen display, Bose sound system, as well as heated and cooled perforated leather front bucket seats with "High Country" logos on the headrests.

As standard it comes powered by a 5.3-liter V8 EcoTec3 engine but it can also be configured with a larger 6.2-liter V8 EcoTec3. Both power units benefit from active fuel management, cylinder deactivation and continuously variable valve timing.

Optional features available include integrated trailer brake controller, chrome rear bumper with CornerStep, driver alert package, heated steering wheel, adjustable pedals and a rear-seat entertainment system.
