With the launch of the C3 Hdi, Citroen is taking a running jump into the market for the environmental concious consumers. It has a fuel consumption of just 4.4 litres per 100km (the same as the Toyota Prius) and will be launched across Australia in October. Pricing is yet to be announced but is expected to be below the $29,990AU price tag of it's larger Turbo Diesel sibling, the Citroen C4 Hdi, which is considerably lower than the $37,400AU recommended retail price of the Prius. The C3 Hdi will be fitted with the same 1.6 litre 66 kW Turbo Diesel engine already seen in the C4 Hdi and will reach 100km/h in 10.8 seconds. Official pricing and specifications will be announced in October.
