Lexus has announced the 2014 IS will be priced from $35,950 when it goes on sale in the United States this summer.
The entry-level IS 250 is powered by a 2.5-liter V6 engine that develops 204 bhp (152 kW) and 185 lb-ft (250 Nm) of torque, while the $39,465 IS 350 has a 3.5-liter V6 engine which churns out 306 bhp (228 kW). Regardless of which model is selected, both come equipped with HID headlamps, LED daytime running lights, a 4.2-inch multi-information display and dual zone climate control.
Ordering the Premium package adds LED headlamps and heated / ventilated front seats. The Luxury package includes all the aforementioned equipment as well as perforated leather upholstery, wood trim, electrochromic mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, a power tilt / telescopic steering wheel and a Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
The IS can also be equipped with an F Sport package that has a revised front bumper, a unique grille, a sport-tuned suspension and 18-inch alloy wheels. F Sport variants also have sport seats and a center-mounted tachometer that is inspired by the LFA.
Other options includea rearview camera, a navigation system, an all-wheel drive system and Intuitive Park Assist.
