After several leaks, the MG CS Concept has made its debut today at 2013 Auto Shanghai.

The concept is believed to ride on the MG5 platform and its styling is the result of a team lead by British chief designer Anthony Williams-Kenny. MG believes the vehicle will "create a sensation among young, fashion conscious people" thanks to its narrow front grille running out from the headlights, creases on the hood and a generous lower air intake. It also has underbody protection to create a more rugged appearance, along with concave door panels, air vents in the front wings and blacked out A-pillars.

A production version is expected to hit the market sometime in 2015 for a starting price of approximately 15,000 GBP (17,500 EUR / 23,000 USD). Engine lineup is rumored to include 1.5- or 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engines and a 1.9-liter diesel.
