Lamborghini has officially announced the Aventador LP 720-4 50 Anniversario ahead of its public debut set for tomorrow at Auto Shanghai.

Developed to celebrate the company's 50th anniversary, the special Aventador will be limited to 100 units and available with an exclusive two-tone Giallo Maggio (May yellow) paint and a matte black finish for the lower portions, while the wheels have a glossy black look. In addition, the front end has been revised thanks to larger air intakes and an extended splitter, while the rear was also tweaked for improved engine ventilation and aerodynamics.

The interior has semi-aniline leather upholstery with a Nero Ade (black) combined with Terra Emilia (a shade of brown). Lamborghini also offers an alternative Giallo Quercus yellow hue which matches the exterior. Both come with Q-Citura diamond-pattern stitching also exclusive to this model.

Power comes from an uprated V12 6.5-liter engine developing 720 HP (529 kW), which makes it 20 HP (15 kW) more powerful than the standard Aventador. The engine is connected to an ISR gearbox which enables the supercar reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 217 mph (350 km/h).

More details are available in the press release.
