Maserati has announced the 2014 Ghibli and a V6-powered Quattroporte will be presented on Saturday at 2 AM GMT (10 AM Shanghai time).
Ghibli will be available with a choice of two turbocharged V6 gasoline engines and for the first time in the company's history, with a diesel represented by a V6 3.0-liter turbodiesel developed by Maserati in collaboration with ex Ferrari chief motorist Paolo Martinelli. With this engine, the 2014 Ghibli will have a fuel consumption of less than 6 liters / 100 km (39.2 mpg US / 47 mpg UK) in the NEDC fuel economy cycle.
Also in Shanghai tomorrow Maserati will showcase the 2014 Quattroporte fitted with a V6 engine rated at 330 HP (243 kW). According to the Italian marque, this variant was specifically conceived and developed for the Chinese market.
