The 2014 BMW M5 facelift will be offered with an optional Competition Package bringing an additional 15 bhp (11 kW).

Aside from the extra horsepower, the 2014 M5 LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) will also feature a tweaked suspension, a redesigned M steering wheel, tailored MDM application, bespoke 20-inch alloys, as well as a different sports exhaust system boasting black chrome tailpipes.

With the Competition Package, the 2014 BMW M5 facelift will be able to deliver 567 bhp (423 kW) from its twin-turbo V8 4.4-liter engine which should enable the high-performance sedan reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in less than 4.4 seconds. Top speed is expected to exceed 190 mph (305 km/h) since the current version with the M Driver's Package is capable of hitting this figure.
