New details are starting to emerge about the 2015 Volkswagen Tiguan.
Autobild is reporting the model will be offered as a three-door coupe as well as a five-door crossover that is available with either a short or long wheelbase.
The standard Tiguan will reportedly retain similar dimensions to the outgoing model, while the extended wheelbase variant will be larger and have longer rear doors as well as additional side windows. The coupe, on the other hand, is slated to have sporty styling with a rakish tailgate and a flatter roof.
Engine options remain unconfirmed but petrol choices could include 1.4- and 1.8-liter units with outputs ranging from 140-220 HP (103-162 kW). On the diesel side, options are slated to include a 1.6- and 2.0-liter TDI with outputs between 110-204 HP (81-150 kW). There could also be a hybrid as well as a BlueMotion variant.
The redesigned Tiguan is expected to go on sale in late 2014 with the coupe and extended-length variant following a year later.
