Following Friday's teaser, Peugeot has officially unveiled their 208 T16 Pikes Peak race car.
Set to compete in the legendary hill climb on June 30th, the 208 T16 was created by Peugeot Sport and is specifically designed to tackle Pikes Peak.
No specifications were released yet, but the car features a carbon fiber body with a ventilated hood and aerodynamic side skirts with a side-exiting exhaust system. There's also a massive rear diffuser and a rear wing from the Le Mans-winning 908 race car.
The stripped out interior has a digital instrument cluster, a carbon fiber racing seat and an intricate roll cage. We can also see alloy pedals and an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters.
As we have previously reported, the 208 T16 will be driven by Sébastien Loeb and compete in the Unlimited class. It will endure the grueling 20 km (12.4 mile) long course that features 156 turns and a 1500 meter (4921 foot) elevation change.
