The Spartan Motor Company has announced they have completed testing their upcoming sports car.

Throughout its development designers have tweaked various components including the engine and suspension. Despite the changes, the car will still come equipped with a carbon fiber body, a tubular spaceframe chassis and Wilwood brakes. There's also a digital instrument cluster, carbon fiber racing seats and a Sparco steering wheel with a quick-release hub.

Power is provided by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 250 HP (184 kW) or 400 HP (294 kW) with an optional supercharger. Detailed performance specifications were not released but the 500 kg (1,102 lb) sports car is expected to have a top speed of approximately 240 km/h (149 mph).

The company is currently accepting orders and pricing is expected to start at roughly $79,000 AUD ($82,240 USD / €62,890 / £53,615).
