Mitsubishi has released fully-revealing photos of the G4 Compact Sedan Concept scheduled to make its debut later this week at 2013 Auto Shanghai.

Teased more than a month ago, Mitsubishi's latest concept serves as a preview for an upcoming affordable small sedan. It adopts new styling ideas of the Japanese marque such as the brilliant-cut, high-clarity diamond motif for the front grille, headlamps and taillights. It also has a short nose as well as "graceful and flowing side proportions".

The G4 Compact Sedan boasts a Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body which Mitsubishi says it's the lightest in its class thanks to an extensive use of high-tensile steel. Power comes from a compact and lightweight 1.2-liter MIVEC engine connected to a CVT.
