Newly leaked documents have revealed BMW's Zinoro sub-brand will unveil their first model at the Guangzhou Motor Show in November.
BMW's sales and marketing chief, Ian Robertson, has previously hinted that a new sub-brand was in the works with Brilliance Automotive and newly leaked documents have revealed the Zinoro brand will unveil their first model at the Guangzhou Motor Show in November.
Set to go on sale early next year, the model will be a pure-electric vehicle that promises to offer the "highest quality." Little else is known about the model, but the document says the car will have a modern design and an emphasis on comfort and functionality.
BMW expects the car will play a key role in increasing their sales in China. The company goes on to say that China is on the "right track" with their 'New Energy Vehicle' initiative.
As we have previously reported, Zinoro models are expected to be built at the BMW-Brilliance plant in Shenyang, China. The brand is expected to offer a modified version of the BMW X1, so that could explain the X1 EV prototype that was recently spotted by spy photographers.
