According to a recent report, the US-spec Ford Fusion will be offered with a new 1.5-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine.

Set to be offered on the 2014 model, the engine is expected to produce approximately 177 bhp (132 kW) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque.

Ford also appears to be planning a cheaper Fusion Hybrid S. It is expected to slot below the SE and Titanium variants, so expect it to lose some content in exchange for a lower price.

Last but not least, the 2014 Fusion is expected gain a revised color palette, inflatable rear seat belts and optional Red Brick leather. The Titanium variant is also expected to receive a heated steering wheel and ventilated front seats.
