Ford has launched this week at the Birmingham CV Show the 2013 Transit Courier.

Scheduled to go on sale next spring the Transit Courier provides a class-leading load volume of 2.3m3 and has the longest length at floor of 1.62 meters. Ford equipped the new Transit Courier with sliding doors and several pre-installed body-side fixing points for mounting racking or framework. It has six cargo tie-down points, including four rear side-mounted points for avoiding obstruction of the floor area.

The new model benefits from full-width, full-height steel bulkhead (unglazed/glazed) and can be fitted with an optional folding mesh bulkhead and fold-dive passenger seat as well as LED loadspace lightning. It has a 660 kg (1455 lbs) maximum payload capacity and can carry different types of equipment and cargo.

The 2013 Ford Transit Courier can be ordered with 1.5-liter 75 HP (55 kW) or 1.6-liter 95 HP (70 kW) Duratorq TDCi diesels or the 1.0-liter EcoBoost 100 HP (73 kW) gasoline mill.

Inside, the cabin has a "mega-center" console with enough room for storing A4 papers and small laptops. There's also an overhead stowage area plus a storage drawer located under the driver's seat. It will be available with Ford SYNC with Emergency Assistance, Electronic Stability Control, speed limiter, rear view camera and Easy Fuel.
