These are most likely the first images with the 2014 Maserati Ghibli ahead of an official unveiling set for April 20 at Auto Shanghai.
Looking familiar yet slightly more attractive than the Quattroporte, the smaller Ghibli comes with a more aggressive and lower front fascia which should be appreciated by the younger crowd. The back and sides of the car maintain the same lines as the bigger sibling, while the interior cabin is far from being a surprise.
The Maserati Ghibli is expected to be about 4900mm long and could be offered with a V6 3.0-liter twin-turbo producing 385 bhp (287 kW), along with a larger V8 3.8-liter twin-turbo rated at 480 bhp (358 kW). Some reports are indicating a VM Motori-sourced 3.0-liter diesel as well. These engines will probably be linked to an 8-speed auto and an optional AWD.
