The next generation of the Toyota Corolla will be introduced before the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.

According to a company senior executive who participated at a NADA/J.D. Power and Associates conference on Wednesday, the new Corolla will be unveiled before the L.A. show scheduled for the second part of November. It is highly improbable to see the car at the SEMA show. More importantly, a Toyota spokesman told Edmunds the car will be on sale by the time of the motor show.

Previewed by the Furia concept, the new Corolla is expected to look more aggressive than the current generation. It will also be longer and lower to shake off the bland look of previous models, while under the hood the 4-cylinder, 1.8-liter engine will bring better fuel efficiency and higher performances.
