Leib Engineering recently launched an upgrade kit for the BMW M3 E92.
They installed a proprietary high-grade steel exhaust system with a 100-cell HJS catalyzer and an X-pipe with middle silencers, end muffler and an M-key to control the sound. It lifted the output of the engine by 27.5 bhp (20.5 kW) while via engine software they were able to squeeze an additional 25 bhp (18.6 kW), for a grand total of 470 bhp (350 kW).
To stop the car efficiently the tuner fitted a Brembo braking kit with six-piston calipers and 380 x 32mm discs on the front axle and four-piston calipers with 320 x 28mm discs at the back. The high-performance coupe rides on 19-inch BMW M220 forged alloys with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup semi-slicks measuring 235/35 R19 front and 265/30 R19 rear.
In addition, Leib Engineering has developed a software update for the dual clutch gearbox and they say shifting times have been reduced. The ABS software was also tweaked and should enable shorter braking distances as it was customized to work specifically with semi-slicks.
