According to a recent report, Nissan will introduce the Pathfinder Hybrid at the New York Auto Show.
Details are limited, but the model is expected to share its powertrain with the Infiniti QX60 Hybrid which will also debut at the show. This means the crossover will likely have a supercharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, an electric motor, a lithium-ion battery and a continuously variable transmission. This setup enables the QX60 Hybrid to produce approximately 250 bhp (186 kW), so expect the Pathfinder Hybrid to put up similar numbers.
For comparison, the standard Pathfinder has a 3.5-liter V6 engine that develops 260 hp (194 kW) and 240 lb-ft (325 Nm) of torque. It enables the model to return 20 mpg city / 26 mpg hwy (front-wheel drive) and 19 mpg city / 25 mpg hwy (four-wheel drive).
