The 2013 Audi RS5 Cabriolet has a 77,900 USD starting price in the United States and will go on sale next month.

Just like the coupe, under the hood is a V8 4.2-liter naturally-aspirated engine producing 450 HP (331 kW) at 8,250 rpm and 317 lb-ft (430 Nm) of torque between 4,000 rpm and 6,000 rpm. The engine is connected to a 7-speed double-clutch S tronic gearbox with launch control sending power to a quattro all-wheel drive system.

It needs 4.9 seconds to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) and can hit an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). Audi says the RS5 Cabrio can return an EPA-estimated 16 mpg city / 22 mpg highway / 18 mpg combined.

For an additional 6,000 USD, the convertible can be fitted with a high-performance braking system with ceramic front brakes. While driving at speeds of up to 30 mph (48 km/h), the soft top can be opened in 15 seconds or closed in 17 seconds.
