The Renault Captur was just unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, but that hasn't stopped the company from talking about a three-door variant.

Speaking to Autocar, Renault design boss Laurens van den Acker said the company is concentrating on mainstream models but he hopes to eventually offer a three-door Captur. He added, "A Renault Sport version of that car would also be special. It is something that I have given a lot of thought to."

Renault's Senior Vice President of Product Planning, Tom Lane, also revealed the company is considering turning the Espace into a large crossover. Nothing has been decided as of yet, but Lane contends the large MPV market is shrinking and he "cannot imagine just redoing the current Espace."
