Road & Track says the 2015 Ford Mustang with the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine will also be offered in United States.

Several days ago we heard from Edmunds the next-gen Mustang will get a four-cylinder, 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine available only in Europe. However, Road & Track is positive the mill will also be in the U.S.-spec version as well. Interestingly, they are also saying it probably won't be the base engine offering.

The four-banger will be a modified version of the 2.0-liter powering the Focus ST and is estimated to produce 300 HP (220 kW), as opposed to the engine in the Focus ST which delivers 250 HP (184 kW).

The range-topping V8 variant will be sold in both markets.
