ABT Sportsline is working on its first upgrade package for the recently introduced 2013 Volkswagen Golf GTI.

The German tuner is currently showcasing in Geneva a modified Golf VII while at the same time they are developing an aftermarket program for its hotter GTI sibling. It has the same 2.0-liter turbo engine but instead of 230 HP (162 kW) in the Performance variant it now churns 270 HP (199 kW). ABT says a stage II kit will increase output to 310 HP (228 kW).

They have developed a new body kit for this Golf VII GTI wearing a white exterior finish with red accents. There's a new front spoiler, front grille, headlight covers, updated mirror caps and side skirts, as well as a new rear skirt insert and trunk lid attachment. The back is also showing a quad-pipe exhaust setup similar to ABT's Golf VII shown at the Swiss show. Other changes worth mentioning include suspension lowering springs and new sets of 18- or 19-inch alloys.
