Nissan has launched today in Geneva the Euro-spec 2013 Note. The B-segment five-door hatchback draws its inspiration from the Invitation concept that was showcased at the Swiss event in 2012.

It will go on sale later on this year and will feature a 1.2-liter gasoline engine for the entry-level model. The mill offers 80 HP (59 kW) and 81 lb-ft (110 Nm) of torque and helps the hatchback return 60 mpg UK (50 mpg US or 4.7 liters / 100 km) and 109 g/km of CO2 emissions.

It's also offered with a 1.2-liter DIG-S power unit developing 98 HP (72 kW) and 105 lb-ft (142 Nm) of torque. This version is rated at 65.7 mpg UK (54.7 mpg US or 4.3 liters / 100 km) with CO2 emissions of 99 g/km.

The European version of the Nissan Note can be configured with a 1.5-liter turbodiesel engine pumping out 90 HP (66 kW) and 162 lb-ft (219 Nm) of torque. In this variant it returns 78.4 mpg UK (65.3 mpg US or 3.6 liters / 100 km).
